deadCENTER Film Fest Features 3 Films Cast by FC
The deadCENTER Film Festival will feature three films with casting services provided by Freihofer Casting. See the family film PEARL, about the life of Oklahoma aviator Pearl Carter Scott at 8 pm June 11 at the OKC Museum of Art. The film was produced by David Rennke and directed by King Hollis and was featured at the AFI International Film Festival. The following evening at 9 pm, June 12, see the horror film THE FAMILIAR at Kerr Auditorium. Produced by Heather Olive and directed by Miles Hanon, the film is making its premiere. Then see 2009 Sundance Film Festival selection BARKING WATER, produced by Chad Burris and directed by Sterlin Harjo on June 13 at 7:00 pm June 13. SPLINTER To Appear on Sci-Fi Channel The horror film SPLINTER will appear on The Sci-Fi Channel Sunday, February 15 at 9:00 pm Eastern, 8:00 pm Central. Produced by Ted Kroeber and Kai Berry, directed by Toby Wilkins with casting by Chris Freihofer, was shot entirely in Oklahoma in the summer of 2007. THE FAMILIAR Trailer Now Online The trailer for "The Familiar" is up and available. The film, written and directed by Miles Hanon and produced by Heather Olive and Miles Hanon, with casting by Chris Freihofer, was shot last fall in Oklahoma. Visit www.familiarthemovie.com "BARKING WATER" To Premiere at 2009 Sundance Fest The feature film BARKING WATER, written and directed by Sterlin Harjo and produced by Chad Burris with additional casting by Chris Freihofer, was accepted into the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The film will premiere Saturday, January 17 and will screen 4 additional times during the festival. Harjo's previous film FOUR SHEETS TO THE WIND (also produced by Burris with casting by Freihofer) won a Special Jury Award for Acting at the 2007 Festival. SPLINTER Sweeps ScreamFest Awards SPLINTER swept the Screamfest Awards October 19 in Los Angeles at the Grauman Mann Chinese 6 Theater. The film won 6 awards: Best Editing: David Michael Maurer

Tamara Podemski up for Indie Spirit Award Actress Tamara Podemksi was nominated as Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her role in "FOUR SHEETS TO THE WIND." The awards were held February 23 in Santa Monica, CA. Cate Blancett won the award for her performance of Bob Dylan in "I'm Not There." Other nominees include Cate Blanchett, Marisa Tomei, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Anna Kendrick. The film was written and directed by Sterlin Harjo, produced by Chad Burris and Ted Kroeber, with casting by Chris Freihofer.
